Losing weight and inches from your waist line should not be impossible or unbearable. A weight loss program should be many things, but it should first be natural. The better plans however will teach you how to keep that weight off.
On the other hand if you do not choose the right diet it could seriously affect your health. The waist-to-hip ratio calculator still thinks I'm fat: "Your Waist to Hip Ratio is 0.83 and appears to indicate an increased risk for heart disease and diabetes." (This is because it expects women to actually have hips, which I don't.) BMI says: "Your BMI score is: 24.0 A BMI score of 18.5 to 24.9 indicates you have a healthy body fat ratio." I've measured at irregular intervals so it's hard to tell, but believe you me when I say that all those upswings you see are due to The Curse™, which makes me bloat up like a corpse. I really very much Do Not Like that aspect of living in a female body. Ugh.
