Select two similar felt-covered electrodes ofmedium or large size (6 X 8, or 7 X 9). Saturate them in atwo per cent, solution of soda-bicarbonate as hot as they canbe handled, and press them sufificiently dry to prevent wettingthe patients clothes. These electrodes should never bepressed as dry as possible, but must be allowed to retain themaximum amount of moisture short of dripping.
